The Batbusters Iwema 16U team has officially punched their ticket to The Alliance Fastpitch Nationals this summer in Westfield, Indiana, after capturing the Finesse and Ohio Hawks Alliance Qualifier Championship — an incredible milestone for a talented group that has battled through every element and challenge thrown their way.

Throughout the weekend, the weather was anything but friendly. Cold rain, wind, and miserable conditions tested every team’s focus, but the Batbusters stood tall, showcasing grit and mental toughness that define elite-level softball. While fields turned muddy and temperatures dropped, the players kept their energy high and their eyes locked on one goal — qualifying for Nationals.

Despite the conditions, this team’s chemistry and commitment were on full display. Every player bought into the “team-first” mentality that has driven the program’s success this fall. They found ways to produce in every phase — from clutch hitting and smart base running to consistent defense and dominant pitching performances.

A strong performance on Sunday sealed the deal, highlighted by a 6–2 win over TN Mojo GRIP–Mobley 15U. C. Dreiling (#47) led the way in the circle, tossing five strong innings while allowing only two hits and no earned runs. Offensively, the lineup came alive — E. Jansma (#22) and A. Pike (#18) both collected three hits each, combining for multiple extra-base knocks, while K. Knapp (#1) drove in four runs in a breakout game at the plate. The team also picked up another win by forfeit earlier in the event, continuing their momentum and focus.
