The Batbusters Upchurch 10U squad proved that determination and execution can conquer any challenge, capturing the Championship Title at the USSSA Out of School – Out of Mind Tournament in Peoria, Illinois.

With the entire event played in a single day, the Batbusters faced a demanding schedule that tested their focus and endurance. From the opening pitch, the team showed poise and confidence, playing their best softball when it mattered most.

After opening the day with a strong 9–2 win over the Lady Warriors, the team regrouped following an early setback against PV X-plosion. That loss sparked a surge of energy that carried through the rest of the day, as the Batbusters stormed back with a 16–6 win over the Lady Warriors and then closed the tournament with a 6–4 championship victory in a rematch against PV X-plosion.

In the title game, Paige W led the offense with a stellar 3-for-4 performance, scoring three runs and setting the tone at the top of the lineup. Lillian S added two hits, including a triple, and Anna H came through with a key two-base hit and three RBIs to power the attack. Vivian L also added an RBI single to help fuel the offense.

On the mound, Anna H and Chelsea U combined for a dominant performance, striking out 13 batters and holding PV X-plosion to just four hits. Anna struck out seven in 2.2 innings of work, while Chelsea closed the door with six strikeouts over the final 2.1 innings to secure the win.

Defensively, the Batbusters played clean, error-free softball—an impressive feat under pressure. Their energy, communication, and consistency throughout the lineup were key factors in earning the top spot.

The one-day tournament demanded both physical and mental toughness, and this group delivered on every level. From timely hitting to sharp pitching, the Batbusters Upchurch 10U team showcased their depth, preparation, and competitive spirit.
